Kelly Greenwood (2023-09-27)

In response to Re: shtr

This midweek, all 12 Championship games are live on Sky - including Wigan Athletic vs Coventry City, Blackpool vs QPR, Millwall vs Swansea City and Rotherham United vs Preston North End. Additionally, all these matches can be watched via the Sky Sports app starting at 7.45pm.

Recent years, the Big 12 has been a major factor in the national title race. Unfortunately, 27 percent of its conference championship games have cost them an opportunity at making the College Football Playoffs, while another 20 percent almost did.

Wigan Athletic vs Coventry City

On Tuesday night, Wigan Athletic will seek their first win in six games when they host Coventry City at the DW Stadium. With 32 points, six behind Cardiff City in 21st place, the Latics need to turn around their fortunes if they want to remain unbeaten this season.

Sky Sports subscribers will have access to all 12 Championship games live this midweek on Sky. These include Blackpool vs QPR, Millwall vs Swansea City and Rotherham United vs Preston North End at 7.45pm on Sky Sports Arena; Middlesbrough vs Stoke City is scheduled for 8pm on Sky Sports Football.

Blackpool vs QPR

QPR face a formidable task when they travel to Bloomfield Road for their match against Blackpool. The Seasiders are on an impressive six-game unbeaten run at home and will be confident of adding another victory against the R's.

It's a tough match to predict, but Blackpool have plenty of experience against QPR and should be able to find some form early on. After keeping clean sheets in three of their last four home games, they will need to do that again if they want any advantage from this match.

QPR have lost their last four away league matches and are on a winless streak of seven across all competitions. At 19th in the Championship, just ten points above relegation zone, they must win this game to avoid going into winter break with just six points separating themselves and safety.

Millwall vs Swansea City

This midweek, Sky is airing all 12 Championship games live, including the match between Millwall and Swansea City at The Den. Kickoff for this match is set for 5.30pm on Saturday, September 1st.

Both teams are in superb form at home, with Millwall currently sitting in sixth place and Swansea City sitting in 17th with 43 points.

Recent results: Millwall earned a 1-0 victory against Reading thanks to Andrea Voglsammer's goal, while Swansea City went down 3-1 at Middlesbrough, surrendering an early half-time lead.

Rotherham United vs Preston North End

Rotherham United are back in action as they host Preston North End for round 37 of the Championship. The hosts will be looking to avenge Saturday's loss to Birmingham City that saw them slip from 20th in the league to 18th.

Though their home form has been inconsistent, the Millers have recently found success and won three of their last five league games at New York Stadium. Additionally, they scored at least two goals in each of their last six home matches and will look to do the same against the visitors.

Preston have lost their last two away trips to the Millers, but have won four of their previous ten matches away from home. That stretch has seen them average 2.60 goals netted per game and keep a clean sheet each of their previous four away visits.

Hull City vs Burnley

This midweek, Sky is airing all 12 Championship games live, including Hull City versus Burnley. Both sides will be looking to rebound after their respective defeats against Watford and Coventry City.

Burnley are currently riding high and sit atop the table after defeating 10-man Wigan Athletic 3-0 at Turf Moor last weekend. Their victory has also vaulted them 13 points clear of relegation danger and put them atop of the Premier League table.

Both teams face a formidable challenge in this one, so we predict a close contest. Therefore, we're backing a draw as the best outcome.

Sunderland vs Sheffield United

Sunderland and Sheffield United, who both sit outside the top six in the Championship, will both be looking to get back on track this midweek. After winning 1-0 at Norwich City on Sunday, the Black Cats will aim to maintain their hopes by beating their bitter rivals.

Both sides have won their last two home games in the league, but this will be a tough test for both. While the Blades are on an impressive run of form, the Black Cats have been more consistent away from home.
