Abstract

Aware of the large and growing number of independent Open Access journals, which however find it challenging to ensure their content is visible and findable, a new low cost Open Access publishing platform has been created. Global Science Journals (GSJ) is based on the same technology powering Springer's central content platform Springrlink. Clients using the GSJ service remain the publisher, taking care of submission, peer-review and article production themselves, with final article PDF's submitted to Springer for metadata extraction, DOI application and hosting. Taking care of much of the publication process themselves means that processing and hosting fees are a fraction of APC's typical of full service OA platforms. Client journals benefit from a constantly updated (including SEO) home for their journals with automatic feeds to A&I services and permanent archiving. Plus GSJ welcomes journals in any language with the three criteria for acceptance being journal format, peer-reviewed content and true Open Access publishing.
