Language Science Press is an Open Access press for high quality linguistics books offering downloadable PDF files via the OMP platform and printed versions via external print-on-demand providers.

A special feature of Language Science Press is the integration of the scientific community in the publishing process. In this talk, we will introduce an open commenting utility (hypothes.is) and gamification elements we added to OMP to foster support by and communication among the members of our linguistic community.

Since Language Science Press relies on the community for a very large number of tasks, an intuitive interaction with the platform for the various tasks is mandatory. We will present our specific submission workflow and point out the advantages and limitations we experience while managing this workflow in OMP.

We plan to further develop these and other aspects of our platform and we will make our OMP plugins available to the public.
